Last week I made the offhand comment that American audiences had ruined martial-arts stunt legend Jackie Chan (among other imports), using the Shanghai films as an example.  Exhibit A:

Not one film made in America made that fans list.  I’m not saying the Shanghai films are not entertaining, they are in their own way.  But they aren’t old Jackie.  Exhibit B:
