    Good show as always guys.

Look forward to your thoughts on Spanish Prisoner! I managed to watch “House of Games”, which shared some similarities. Thats not necessarily a good thing – I enjoy the dialogue Mamet writes but in The Spanish Prisoner and House of Games there’s some scenes where it seems he’s trying to spell certain plot points out to the audience. Not sure if it’s intentional or not but it stood out.

I did chuckle when James suggested a knowing/spanish prisoner podcast! I never clarified why I suggested it in the first place; mainly for me it held a few surprises from a technical point of view. While the religious undertones didn’t interest me, I actually enjoyed the way the two big “disaster” scenes were shot and presented in the film. It was a small percentage of the film, but I must say it suprised me as I was expecting a lot less as I’m not a fan of Alex Proyas. Plus, there’s a classic Nic Cage moment when he screams “you want some of this?” at a forest and hits a tree with a baseball bat.

@Goon – Just keeping the listeners on their toes! Hehehe…

@Dom – “Plus, there’s a classic Nic Cage moment when he screams “you want some of this?” at a forest and hits a tree with a baseball bat.”

That one sentence just sold the entire film for me. It’s no longer a choice… I MUST WATCH IT. Darn you Dom, darn you to heck.

LOL. Good stuff guys. I don’t think I’m going to bother watching either of these (I’m about halfway through the show). You guys might want to check out the following review of Transformers. Pretty funny:

” Plus, there’s a classic Nic Cage moment when he screams “you want some of this?” at a forest and hits a tree with a baseball bat.”

I have to see this film now.

Also, Goon, you’ve pimped this show so much on other sites than in some nearby reality where this podcast actually makes a coin, you’re getting a cut. Except when we’re late and you have to choke a bitch (meaning James).

I’ve been pimping it to me because stylistically and tastewise you guys to me are the perfect buffer between FilmJunk and RowThree. I just hate having the tease of knowing when its recorded to when it actually gets posted :P

Congrats on keeping the gaming section entertaining despite me not caring at all about videogames.

    “between FilmJunk and RowThree”

That’s about where I see The Rotcast as well. If we could get our own Reed Farrington that would shift us further to the right I would imagine.
