Well Kurt thought it was a perfect movie, so I’m going to have at least one battle to fight at R3. Sometimes a movie turns me into a little angry bitch, WTWTA is that movie right now, even though there’s way more to like about it than most other movies I dislike. Let’s put it this way – there are some movies that people decided way in advance that they loved or hated, and nothing was going to wedge them from that stance. Ie Campea hating GI Joe, or loving Transformers. Even District 9, which I love, has this going on in its favor. I’m betting the Road and Fantastic Mr. Fox are the next movies to have this happening. I think WTWTA is among those movies, which means among the film discussions I’ll be left wondering how much opinion is honest and how much is obligation in order to save face. This is the nature of the online film community and the way we hype things.

Oh man, Josh is either going to love this site or hate my guts even more when Ep 54 is posted. Keep in mind the only quote blurb on the cover of Herr Boll’s opus In The Name of the The King is attributed to one Josh Tyler, Cinemablend.com

I stopped reading Devin’s review of the movie after the first sentence, which had the word “masterpiece” in it. That dude’s head is lighter than a UFO balloon.

I just read what Josh Tyler had to say over on their boards as well as the Twitch review, and they pretty much had the same points I’d make. What’s immediately obnoxious and why I’m probably going to end up getting more aggressively against the film, is the people who like it and really attacking those that don’t in the way Twilight fans lose their shit around haters. They’re also pulling the trick of saying you “didn’t get it”.. But as Josh said: “the allegory is so thick and obvious you can swim through it.”

Maybe. We may or may not be seeing it this week-end but since our latest show was taped last night, we won’t be talking about it for at least a week. Also, from what I’ve read, you’re not the only one.

Probably because at the time we recorded this we made mention of there being only midnight showings of the film, at least here in Orlando. Since there’s been no new podcast since then, I figured you were continuing to make comments about the show. I was merely pointing out that at this point it’s old news.

I also enjoy Glee, last weeks ep in particular has been the funniest. Everything out of Jane Lynch’s mouth is fantastic. The redhead who loves the lead adult who looks like Kirk Cameron sometimes is cute as hell. The show is uneven as a whole and I doubt I’d pick up the DVDs, but it’s good entertainment and stands out very well amongst other network TV.
